These Terms & Conditions set out the agreement between Panda’s Pedals (“the Instructor”) and the Learner for the provision of driving tuition and related services.
By booking and/or paying for lessons with Panda’s Pedals, the Learner confirms they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
The Learner must:
Hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence.
Be able to read a vehicle number plate from a distance of 20 metres.
Wear glasses or contact lenses during every lesson if they are required to meet the legal eyesight standard.
Inform Panda’s Pedals of any medical condition, disability, or change in circumstances that may affect their ability to drive.
Be legally entitled to drive in the United Kingdom.
Panda’s Pedals reserves the right to refuse or terminate a lesson if the Learner does not meet legal requirements, including the required eyesight standard.
All lessons must be paid for in advance.
Weekly lessons must be paid at least one week prior to the scheduled lesson.
Block bookings must be paid in full before lessons commence.
Block bookings are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Prices are subject to change. Any price changes will not affect lessons already paid for.
Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of scheduled lessons.
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange a lesson.
Cancellation requests must be acknowledged and confirmed by Panda’s Pedals in order to be valid.
Cancellation notice periods are calculated from the time Panda’s Pedals acknowledges the cancellation.
If the Learner does not receive confirmation, the lesson will remain scheduled and charged accordingly.
Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
Failure to attend a scheduled lesson will result in full payment being due.
If Panda’s Pedals cancels due to illness, mechanical issue, or unforeseen circumstances, an alternative lesson will be arranged as soon as reasonably possible.
Learning to drive with Panda’s Pedals is a team effort.
The Learner is expected to:
Arrive on time and be willing to learn.
Communicate openly during lessons.
Actively engage in the learning process.
Maintain good personal hygiene.
Behave in a polite and respectful manner.
Be willing to reflect on and learn from mistakes.
Accept that mistakes are a normal and necessary part of progress.
Panda’s Pedals uses a client-centred coaching approach, meaning:
The Instructor will not simply provide constant instructions.
The Learner will be asked questions to encourage thinking and independent decision-making.
The Learner is expected to analyse situations and identify appropriate actions.
This approach is designed to develop safe, confident, and independent drivers — not just to prepare someone to pass a test.
If the Learner is unwilling to engage in the learning process, Panda’s Pedals reserves the right to withdraw tuition.
The following behaviour will not be tolerated:
Abusive, aggressive, or threatening behaviour.
Discriminatory language or actions.
Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Repeated disruptive or disrespectful conduct.
If such behaviour occurs, the lesson will be terminated immediately. Full payment for the lesson will still be due, and Panda’s Pedals reserves the right to refuse further tuition.
Driving tuition takes place in a close-contact environment. Open communication regarding illness is expected from both parties.
If the Learner is feeling unwell in the days leading up to a lesson, they must inform Panda’s Pedals as soon as possible so an informed decision can be made regarding whether the lesson should proceed.
Similarly, if the Instructor is feeling unwell, Panda’s Pedals will notify the Learner at the earliest opportunity. This may include providing advance notice where symptoms are developing and confirming cancellation if the condition worsens.
This approach is intended to:
Protect the health of both parties.
Reduce the spread of illness.
Allow informed decision-making.
Maintain clear and professional communication.
Panda’s Pedals reserves the right to cancel or rearrange a lesson if either party is considered unfit to proceed due to illness.
Lessons will not take place if the Learner:
Appears unwell or unfit to drive.
Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Does not meet legal driving standards.
The Instructor’s decision regarding fitness to drive is final.
